Well, I guess this will be my last post for 2012. Still need to settle lots of stuff at work before I go for my leave. I will be taking a break and hopefully to spend some quality time together with the kids before school starts. I'm really looking forward for our year end balik kampung holidays :P.
However, before I go, would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments and support throughout the year! It has been a blessing knowing all of you.
Hope you will have a good time together with your friends and family before school starts and see you next year!

Lil Craft Session 3 - Twinkle Twinkle Lil Stars
Ooopss! I've just realized that I've forgotten to blog about my second craft experience. This was the third session that I had with the kids at the playground. Aiya...hopefully I will have time to pen down the 2nd session as a momento for myself.
This week craft was twinkle twinkle lil stars. I cut out the happy star shape face and let the kids do the pasting. I prepared two different blue cut outs (dark and light blue). Upon completion, I attached a straw to it.
I can only do simple craft due to limited resources and also limited time and space. Frankly speaking, I really enjoy having these sessions with the kids. I enjoyed seeing them having the interest to do my extremely simple craft. I was amazed to see how the kids also had patience to sit down and paste the tiny lil blue dots (one by one) on the stars. On the other hand, I am also training the younger ones their motor skills too. For every session that I conducted so far, every one of them will definately complete their craft at the end of the session although some might take longer time. The elder kids will be able to finished their task sooner as compared to the younger ones. For late comers, sometimes, the kids even requested to bring home and continued their craft at home.
At the end of the session, we took photos and my lil prince asked, Mummy can we sing a song? Of course, when they see the stars, it reminds them about Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars! Hence, besides the craft session, there is also a sing-a-long session!
This is one of the lil boy master piece!
The whole experience was indeed awesome. I absolutely adores the smiles on the children faces. Sometimes I wonder if I am into the wrong profession. I should be teaching in a kindy instead of office work. But then, I never doubt God's plans for me:)
Have a nice weekend. This week we get three days off...yipeeee!!!

Butterflies and Flowers for Breakfast
I am currently in the process of training my lil prince and princess to eat more GREENS :P and also introducing some new fruits to him. I always wonder why kids just don't eat anything that is green in colour? Is it because of the taste or because of the colour?
Last Sunday, I make a simple breakfast for my lil ones.
For lil prince
I boiled some broccoli, decorated with some crab meat on top as flowers. I also make a small portion of mix vegetables that consists of carrots, green peas and corns in a small food cup. Instead of having veges only, I added some ham and also eggs (the butterflies are made out of ham and egg). The yellow spots on the butterflies are cheese sauce.
I make another attempt to get my lil prince to eat yellow kiwi. He rejected it the first time. This time I cut the kiwi fruit into flower shape. The top flowers shape are kiwi fruits and strawberries. I also get to use two of my food pick for my cherry tomatoes ^__^.
Outcome....successful!!! My lil prince ate everything on the plate and left only one cherry tomato. He also ate the yellow kiwi fruit! To me, it is really an improvement. It is a good start and also it gives me motivation to continue my GREEN project with my lil ones!
For lil princess
I also made a small bowl for my princess but too bad, she only eat the cheese and the mix vegetables. She didn't know how to bite the broccoli. I need to make it softer the next round. Anyway, no harm in trying because there's always the first time. Lesson learn today, don't give up. Just keep trying...one day, we will succeed!
I'm starting my GREEN journey....:P

Lil Princess Milk and Freebies
Lil princess only started drinking Enfagrow A+ milk daily when she reaches 1 year old. Before that she was on mummy's milk :). I am glad that I was able to breastfeed her for one year. It was all about determination!! When I see how she grows, it was really worth all the hard work and sweat!
Normally, we don't change our milk powders for our kids, once they are hooked on the brand, we will stick to the same brand until our kids get bored with it. After my nightmare experience with lil prince, I dare not change milk powder anymore. I like to purchase milk from Mead Johnson as they always comes out with nice goodies / toys for kids. I find their toys very educational too.Recently they came out with this Smart Role-Play sets. There were six sets in the whole series. We managed to collect four sets so far :P. I bought the Grocery Store, School, Laboratory and the Sushi Restaurant. Lil prince loved to play the Grocery Store the most! I find this role playing activity very interesting for lil prince. I get to be the customer and he is the owner of the grocery store.

I plan to get the Auto Workshop set the next round. Most of the time, Mead Johnson freebies are for kids but I also managed to get something for myself when I purchase the 1.7kg milk during the Mom & Baby Expo in May. The were having a promotion whereby they were giving away a set of LO'ccitane toiletries (shower cream, shower gel and conditioner). This was the best gift for mummy! I love this product so much but it was too expensive to buy, hence I was really happy to get this gift FOC :).Monday, 23 July 2012
My Baking Project
The first portion, I tried is with my teddy bear silicon mould that I bought recently from the bakery shop. I bake it for 15 minutes under 180 degrees celcius. I kept a close watch just in case I burnt the cake! Luckily, it turn out well except for some burn section on the ear.
As I only have one silicon mould, I poured the rest of the batter into another cake pan. Overall, the cake didn't really turn out perfect but at least this time it is edible!
The teddy bears lemon cake does looks cute and lil prince told me that they look like Winnie the Pooh to him. Well, I still have a long long way to go for my baking skills....

Thomas & Friends Train Set
I remembered I bought this Thomas and Friends train set when lil prince was 1 year old from a warehouse sale for RM50. Lil prince love the Thomas and Friends cartoon when he was young. But whenever we took out this train set to play, he will remove the train from the track and let the train moves around the house.
At that time hubby wanted to give away the train set as he said that lil prince doesn't seems to know how to play the train set. However, I disagreed and I kept the train set in the cupboard.

This train set has been sitting in the cupboard for almost 2 years ++ and last weekend, I took it out again. I would like to give lil prince and this train set a second chance. To my surprise, my lil boy was so excited with the train set and he was playing with it for 2 hours. This time, he was able to keep the train on the track, no longer outside wondering around!
I realized that previously we might be too eager to let him play with this train set. There are certain toys that we should wait till our kids mature or at least reach a certain age.
There was only one train in this set which is automatic and the other one (green colour) is a so called 'manual' train. Lil prince put the green on in front and let the blue one pushed from behind. Now he has two trains to play with!
As for me, I am very happy that I can finally put this train set to use!

Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes
I remembered when I first had my son,
whenever we go out with him, we will always carry a packet of baby wipes with
us. We will always wipe on the things that
he used such as baby chair, supermarket trolley and etc. We were so concern about hygiene! Hence, having a packet of baby wipes in our
bags is always a MUST have whenever we step out of our house.
“At Kleenex®, we support the importance of a good hand
washing routine but we also have a motto we live by when we find ourselves in
situations where water is not readily available – when in doubt, wipe,” says Mr Sumeet Parab, Marketing Manager of Kimberly-Clark Malaysia. “We want to encourage people to live their
lives to the fullest without being afraid of dirt or germs. This is especially
important for young children who are naturally curious, and for whom exposure
to nature and to outside surroundings is an important part of their developmental
process. By keeping a pack of Kleenex® Wipes in your bag and in your car, you
can easily keep your hands – and your children’s hands – clean while
on-the-go.”
I received the package recently from In.Deed
Communication that consist of Kleenex® Hand
Sanitizing Moist Wipes and a cool children activity book. Together with the package was some
information that I would like to share with you.
It is very important for us to keep our
hands clean all the time as germs are invisible to human eye but they exist
everywhere. We do not know where they
hide so we need to defend our selves!
How?.......with Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes!
This year, in conjunction with World Hand
Hygiene Day which falls on 5 May,
Kleenex® will remind Malaysian families the importance of keeping our hands clean via
educational, hands-on activities and they have also introduced a new
Disney-themed Kleenex® Hand
Sanitizing Moist Wipes Multipacks.
You won’t be surprise that germs can be found everywhere. Here are some of the common places that they
are found :
Germs can be found in these places
too:
- TV Remotes: These are crawling with germs, especially if you tend to snack in front of the television or change channels when you have the flu. Remember to clean the remotes and your hands when you watch your favourite show on TV.
- Telephones: These are ideal places where germs are easily transferred from your mouth to your hands and vice versa. So, remember to disinfect your phones and hand phones regularly.
- Buttons: We touch many buttons daily, be it in the lifts, vending/ATM/autopay machines, gaming arcades…and these harbour germs and bacteria. Keep a pack of Kleenex® wipes on hand – it kills 99.9% of bacteria.
- Shopping Trolleys: Here, germs easily travel between the hands, food and face. Keep yourselves safe by wiping away the germs with Kleenex® wipes.
- Escalators: The hand railings are constantly touched by people who come into contact with harmful germs and bacteria. Defend yourself effectively with Kleenex® wipes.
- Computer keyboards: Between dirty hands and morsels of food falling in between the keys, your keyboard is a hotbed of germs.
- Money: Our currency notes and coins have been through all sorts of dirty places before coming into contact with our hands. Wipe our hands clean (after handling money), especially before snacking with our fingers or before touching any part of our face.
That is why it is important to keep a
pack of Kleenex® wipes wherever you go.
Having a convenient, ready-to-use solution within reach is the key to
keeping the hands clean, whether at school, at work, spending family time
outdoors, running errands or on vacation – Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes come in small, portable packs that the whole family can use and
appreciate. Stash them in bags, glove
compartments and office drawers so it’s easy to remember that we should clean
our hands before eating and drinking, after playing or touching pets,
in-between errands, after coughing or sneezing, and in many other situations in
and outside of the home.
Here are the benefits
of Kleenex® Hand Sanitizing Moist Wipes.

Mickey Mouse @ Midvalley
We went to Midvalley last weekend and since it was a school holidays, we went there early to secure a parking. During school holidays, this shopping center is packed with lots of shoppers. We went there at 10.00am and managed to rent the stroller for my lil princess too.
The other reason we went there was to see the giant mickey mouse! Lil princess kept on saying 'mimi mouse' (she still can't pronounce it correctly yet ^__^). It was kind of hard to take photos too as there were lots of people there as expected since it was weekend plus it's school holidays.
There were so many different kinds of mickey mouse. I only managed to snap a few mickey mouse. We had lunch at TGIF as we need to utilize our food voucher that we redeem from our credit cards last year. It was going to expired. We ordered the tennessee chicken and shrimp for ourselves and the kids get to share the fish and chips. We also ordered the stuffed mushroom. At TGIF, you get a free kids meal when you ordered a main course. Luckily we only ordered one main course as we had to finish the kids meal too.
We only visited the Tupperware party which was at the exhibition hall and Toys R Us in Midvalley on that day. We decided to call it a day as there were too many people. I guess it is due to the school holidays that everyone take the opportunity to do some shopping and to bring the kids around.
Among all the mickey mouse there, this one is my favourite!

TK Napoleon Cake + Bamboo Tea
Here's my breakfast for today.
Bamboo Tea with Napoleon cake. I really fell in love with TK Napoleon cake. I think it was made out of layers of biscuits, creams and some nuts in between. There is something special about the type of biscuits that they use, which was not so sweet and it was just perfect for my taste. For me, I can skip any meals of the day but not my breakfast. Breakfast is very important to me as it gives me the strength and also the motivation to start my day. Even when I am rushing in the morning, I must have something in my tummy before I start work, else I will be feeling something is missing for the entire day.
I also bought the Bamboo Tea (Vanilla Flavour) from the Country Farm Organic Shop. What I like about this tea is the Vanilla aroma. This tea is Caffeine Free. I am a tea person, I love drinking all kinds of tea.

What did you have for your breakfast today?

All About Carrots
I used to have a hard time getting my lil prince to eat carrots. When he was a baby, we don't have any problems in getting him to eat carrots as we can puree the carrot. As he grows older, we no longer puree his food but cut the carrots into smaller pieces. It started from there, he seems to keep his distance away from carrots!
Few months back, I planned an activity for him. I told him we are going to do some cutting activity. I boiled the carrots, gave him a butter-knife and asked him to cut the carrots. He seems to like this cutting activity a lot. While he was cutting, he pop some of the carrots into his mouth! From that day onwards, he reunited with carrots again ^__^. Boy, I was so pleased with that. I told him, after all his hard work of cutting the carrots, he needs to taste his carrots.
Last week, we did another carrot cutting activity This time, I used my numbers cutter and let him cut out the shapes from the carrots. He added his carrots into his porridge and his soup for his dinner. The best part is he 'sapu' all his carrot porridge and carrot soup!
My next task will be getting him to eat greens!

Lunch @ Dragon-i
The second dish was the Deep-fried String Bean with Salt and Pepper. This was my favourite. It was crunchy and at the same time, very tasty. Even my lil prince who doesn't normally take vege, give thumbs up for this dish.
Next, was the Braised Chicken in Taiwanese Style. The chicken was a bit dry for this dish. There was also a strong aroma of spices used in this dish. I loved the smell of the spices although I can't tell what it was :).
This was my hubby's favourite dish, Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables. All because of the fat meat :P.
Lastly, the MUST order dish which is the Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings (Siu Long Pao). This is a must have if you go to Dragon-i. We loved this dish the most! Yummy!!!
p/s: I hope I got all the names of the dishes correct ^__^. Age is catching up, sometimes we tend to forget the names!

RM5 for Bubblegummer Shoe
It was hard to believe that we can actually buy a pair of shoe at RM5. This time, they had more ladies shoes as compared to the last one that I went last year. As I was looking around, I saw a pair of shoe for my lil prince price at RM5! I actually cannot believe that the Bubblegummers shoe is RM5 and I asked the sales promoter there to confirm. I used to buy a pair at RM29.99 and sometimes even at a higher price. This shoe cost only RM5. Although the colour is a bit dull (brown colour) coz I prefer to buy blue shoes for my lil prince, hence, I thought no harm buying as we can use it for casual wear. I bought two pairs with different sizes. At least I know for the next two months, I don't have to go around scouting for shoes again :). I don't normally spent much on my kids shoes since they outgrown them every few months. I think this is really a good buy, value for money and quality!
This one was for casual wear, original price was RM49.90. I bought it for RM20.
Overall, I paid RM50 for four pairs of shoes. Not bad,ya! I am still very amazed at my RM5 shoe!
