December is here....Christmas is coming :)

December....a month of celebration.  The month that we always look forward for especially when it comes to Christmas.  This month we will be celebrating my lil prince birthday too.  We love December and during this time, we love visiting the malls to see their Christmas decoration.

We were at Pavilion last month and was surprised that they had put up their Christmas decoration.   Lots of tall christmas trees around with nice decoration.  There was a beautiful golden carriage in the center.  What caught the attention of our kids was the mini train ride.  We were a bit reluctant to let the kids go on the train because lil princess was too young and we were afraid that she might jump of the train! (see how imaginative we can be).  Nevertheless, lil prince kept pestering us and he promised he will hold his mei mei's hand and take care of his mei mei on the train.

So, we gave in.  We bought the tickets for both of them.  It cost RM5 for each child.  This was the first time for both of them sitting on a train ride by themselves.  We kept a close watch on both of them.  Lil prince did keep his promise and hold his mei mei's hand throughout the train ride and for lil princess, she managed to sit still!  RM5 for five rounds.  A little expensive but the smiles on the kids face was worth it :P.

Next stop, we hope to see the decoration at 1U!

New Food Cups

I adores cute food, cute things and of course cute food cups!  During our recent trip to Ipoh, I saw these two cute food cups at Tokutokuya (one of the 100 Yen shops).  Priced at RM 4.90 each for a set of three and four mini food cups.  These small food cups fits perfectly in my snack box as I don't use big snack box for my lil prince.  I find food cups useful because I can placed my food separately into different food cups especially fruits, vegetables and also biscuits. 

I've only used the strawberry shape and the apple shape food cups this week in my snack box.  Will definately try to utilized the rest next week.

I also got myself a pack of star shaped food cup from Daiso in Queensbay mall, Penang.  RM5.00 for a set of five food cups.  Will be making some agar-agar soon I hope :P.

Snax Box # 048 Smiley Sausages Rolls

Yesterday was a happy day for me.  First of all, my lil prince came back with an EMPTY food box which means he ATE all his food.  He finished all the sushi bread that I made for him.  At least it's really worth my time and effort spend in preparing the food box.

Secondly, he got all his spelling for his chinese (ting xie) correct!  Being a banana mum, I am very pleased with his progress in chinese as it was very difficult for me to coach him in this subject.  Right now, I'm also learning chinese with my lil prince.  Although he didn't write well in some of the chinese characters, he still managed to get the strokes right.  We can't  push him too hard coz he's a year end baby.  I am already very satisfied with this results :P.  His teacher gave him a few stickers as a reward for getting all correct.

Today, I made him some sausage rolls with smiley faces.  The smiley faces are made out of seaweed.  The other side dishes are cherry tomatoes, strawberries and grapes.  I also gave him some koko crunch and some Multigrains Cheerios.

I'll be taking a break from packing my snack box as there will be one week break before we start the new semester again.  Taking this opportunity to wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!  May all your wishes comes true!

A New Begining....Again

Finally....

I've decided to set up another blog again.  I have started two blogs previously but never seems to maintain them.  This time, I hope I can keep my blog going.  I'm planning to blog about my passion for bento-ing (which I am still a newbie, my parenting journey with my two kids and any other things under the sun and sea!

In my upcoming post, I will have a lot of back-dated post about my food box.  My lil prince call it food box, but I called it Snack Box and this is how the name of my blog came about.
